His Excellency, the Governor in Council having granted twelve months leave of absence on half-pay to Frederick Stewart Esquire, Inspector of Schools and Headmaster of the Central School, the Reverend Charles John Balfour, Ph. D., has been good enough, at the request of His Excellency the Governor, to undertake the duties of Acting Inspector of Schools and Head of the Education Department, and the following provisional appointments have been made by His Excellency in the Central School : –

Mr. A. Falconer to be Acting Headmaster. Mr. W. M. B. Arthur to be Acting Second Master.
